UMKC’s Office of Admissions is seeking a self-motivated Communications Coordinator, known for their ability to build strong professional relationships and work collaboratively in a team. Reporting to the Assistant Director of CRM Operations, duties include, but are not limited to:

Develop and implement strategies, plans, and goals specifically focused on communication strategies in the recruitment process, based on university data, trends, best practices, and market research
Coordinate communication initiatives with academic units and campus partners focused on recruiting undergraduate and graduate students from diverse populations
Manages daily responsibilities for a university communications to prospective students, including using data, trends, and best practices to guide communication efforts for the university, academic units, and campus partners
Oversee all communications sent from the university CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, Slate. Maintain consistent branding and messaging in all communication efforts, and track effectiveness of those efforts
Respond to academic unit and campus partner needs as it relates to communications through Slate. Train academic units and campus partners to use Slate for communications/recruitment purposes
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal/presentation skills and develop written communications for the Office of Admissions, working closely with our Marketing and Communications unit
Maintain accurate reports related to the engagement of inquiries, applicants, and enrolled students with our communication efforts
Work with student workers in the call center to organize prospective student call campaigns
