Primary Responsibilities
• Understands degree program requirements at all levels
• Verifies graduation eligibility
• Assesses student records issues and identifies potential resolutions
• Processes confidential and sensitive materials including correspondence, student records, and transcripts
• Maintains confidentiality of student records
• Prepares complex graduation documents accurately from multiple sources
• Manages and performs data entry accurately
• Maintains inventory of commencement-related supplies and documents
• Composes and processes routine correspondence and official documents
• Disseminates, verbally, electronically and in writing, information to students, parents, faculty, staff, and others
• Maintains complex, comprehensive record systems
• Prepares and manages the completion of multiple electronic mass mailings
• Acts as liaison to Student Recreation Center and Show Me Center on set up and execution of commencement ceremonies
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated work history reflecting reliability and dependability
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word (For full consideration, Microsoft Office Testing is required by January 22, 2021; see “Additional Information” section below for instructions); working knowledge of email programs
• Demonstrated excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Demonstrated experience working with a student database system
• Demonstrated sustained attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
• Strong interpersonal communication skills; effective and appropriate verbal and written skills
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with external and internal constituencies
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and cooperatively with a variety of individuals
• Ability to prioritize work, perform well under pressure, and maintain productivity despite constant interruptions
• Excellent proofreading skills; evidence of accuracy in recording information and attention to detail
• Availability to work night and weekend commencement events
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
• Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
